event requests

Are you ready to lead an event at King's Church?  Here are the steps you need to take...

1) Receive Tentative Approval.  As always, it's best to run your idea past an elder before expending the effort to plan in detail.  It's quite possible they know of a conflict before you even begin.  However, if they see no issues, you can continue your planning and proceed to the next step.

2) Fill out and Submit this Form.  This event request form is designed to help you think through the many considerations when leading an event.  It also helps the church leadership understand the scope and logistics needed to execute the event with excellence.  Ideally, this form will be completed as far in advance as possible, but should be submitted no later than 10 days before the event.  Events planned well in advance have a greater chance of approval and success!

3) Receive Approval.  Once your event request form is submitted, you should receive a response from an elder within 2-3 days.  The response will be one of three possible options:  1) Green (Approved with No Changes), 2) Yellow (Approved with some changes), or 3) Red (Not Approved).  Once Approved, you are free to plan and execute the event.

4) Review the Event.  After the event has been conducted, take the time to review the event with your team and forward your suggestions along to the Board of Elders.  Reviews should consider 1) What went well, 2) What went wrong, and 3) What would we do differently next time?
After receiving tentative approval for your event, fill out and submit this form for consideration.
